Today To-Do: Clever Task Management App Reviews

Its cheerful, colorful, intuitive, easy to use. Its just what I need. I would give it 5 stars if 2 things were addressed: 1. Integrate the iOS calendar so I wouldnt have to jump between apps. 2. Make the pull down category list easier to "grab". Cant tell you how many times Ive grabbed the notification list. other than that, its a gem. ======= Well, call me slow but I finally realized that the pull down category us easier to access than I thought. Its actually quite easy to use. Still wish it was integrated with the iOS calendar, though. Ive used this for a couple of months and love it. I left it for a week or so to try another one but Today is so user friendly and straightforward that I returned.

This app thinks like I do. I love it! I spent a lot of time setting up my task list but now it is effortless. The only thing I dont like is the recurring task choices. If I set something to do weekly and it takes me a couple days to get it done, then just 4 days later it is telling me to do it again. I would like the recurring to schedule on completion of the task not when it first shows up on my list. I dont know if that makes sense but I need to be able to say, change furnace filter every six months on the 1st of the month..............and also say vacuum living room once a week.....AFTER.....I do it the first time. I had that option with a Calendarscope program on my computer but they do not yet have an app. This is the closest I could find. Please consider the option on the next upgrade.

I have had this a short time & already I can tell that I like the way it looks & works. My only problem is with the recurring tasks. Life is not so perfect that the only choices you need are daily, weekly, monthly, every 3 months & yearly. I need tasks that recur 5 days / week, every week, or once every 6 weeks, every 12 days, twice / year... This is something that toodledo does very well. I am changing from that program because of syncing issues. This program is much prettier, which is nice. But not sure I can deal with the limited options in recurring. This program would be about perfect, if you could fix this :) (later) I have had this a few weeks now & overall I am very happy with it. I am still hoping that you will make a lot more options for recurring tasks, as I am having to still use some other task programs to make it work. Also, there are a few bugs to work out. It crashes about 80% of the time that I am going from an alternate list to the default list. AND Most of the time it will not allow me to schedule a task more than a month ahead. Say I have a major project due in 3 months, & want to schedule a few tasks to make sure all parts are completed. I cannot set the date to, say, Nov 7, (it is Aug now) as Nov wont usually open. If I go out & manually shut down the program & then start it again, it will usually work once. This is a bummer!! Please fix. I enjoy the format of this program!

I use this app daily and love it but I would love it even more if it would sync with my calendar, that way I can just bring up the list instead of seeing a whole calendar when needing to double check my schedule and things to do. I am having to use this and my calendar to keep track. Also, a louder, longer alarm would be great. The tweet just doesnt do it.

I wanted a simple and beautiful todo list. This is the best one out there. I know- went through the entire list! If you want beauty and simplicity, this is for you! I look forward to opening this gorgeous app, which makes it easier to stay on top of my list! I see people are requesting all these random features and downrating the app saying "it would be perfect if X were added". Well think- if all this stuff gets added, it will no longer be a simple app, which is why this is so genius. i love being able to quickly and easily use it, as you can now. There are enough options for managing and scheduling todos to make it useful but not so many it is overwhelming. If the random features must be added, i suggest a Deluxe version for those who are looking for a kitchen sink app. Leave this one simple!

This is in my top three favorite apps but since I got my iPhone 5, it hardly ever works anymore. Please update for iPhone 5!

I have been using and enjoying this app for a long while now. Finally I could have a todo list with a nice layout that have me the option to have recurring tasks! But for the past few weeks it has done little more than crash, freeze, or not show any past or future events. This is really a shame. I hope the rewrite doesnt have the same issues. I dont know what happened to make it start crashing and malfunctioning but I miss this app. Update: The recent update fixed the disappearing Tomorrow and Yesterday activities, but now the tasks I need to be reminded of wont let me set any alarms for my tasks. Still has freezing problems but not as much.

I absolutely love this app! It has every feature I want in a to-do list: you can group your tasks into different categories and view just one category or all of them. You can prioritize the tasks as low, medium or high. You can also drag and drop the tasks into a custom order. And all of your unfinished tasks are automatically moved to the next day. Plus I love the "someday" feature for all the items than dont have a specific due date. The fact that its beautiful to look at just makes my day. :) My only request would be an iPad version that syncs with my iPhone. (Please?) Thank you for such a great app!

**Please UPDATE for iPhone5.** Updated review: This is the best to-do app in the app store! Its simplicity & beauty make it the most user friendly app of its kind. If this app is to be rewritten, please make all due date or similar options optional! Making them required will ruin this app!!! ---------------------------------------- Would love to make this my primary To Do/Calendar app, but cant while able to go only 30 days out. Agree with previous reviewer. Also like the idea of recurring items, maybe list of previously used items displaying as you begin to type.

Love this app but it suddenly started freezing when I tried to edit. I reinstalled it with no change. Now as soon as I add a task it shows up with the red edit button on and nothing will change it. Help!

Developers abandoned this app. Its full of bugs, crashes all the time, and no update since 2012. D: i was excited for this app, but it looks like its time to find another todo app.

After an hour of trying to figure out how to use this "simple" app, I give up. I was trying to set a recurring task, for instance, and I read the help pages which explained that one should click the clock that appears between the save and close button. Problem was, there wasnt a clock button. My full time job involves software support but this app is beyond me. I wasted the $3.

I had used and enjoyed this app but the update for iOS 6 hasnt fixed my crashing issues. It still freezes quite a bit, which is a shame because I like the layout and the concept behind the app. I hope the promised rewrite goes a long way toward making it more stable. Update: The promised update to version 2 hasnt appeared after several months. Dont know if it ever will. Last update was November 2012.

Finally, the update for iPhone 5. No more crashes and loads up quick. I have fallen back in love with this app again. This is my most used app. Best todo app hands down. Please update quicker next time. iPhone 5 has been out for almost a year...

Today, Tomorrow, Someday, Yesterday... easy to swipe from one to the other. Adding tasks is a breeze... with or without times or alarms or repeating (only 6 options, but I havent really needed more), etc. They even include good instructions in the help section. I have a wish list, but nothing I cant live without: a notification each morning to organize my day with the ability to easily put off some of todays tasks for another time like Any.do, an iPad version with sync capability, and ability to change colors (the colors make sense, but I get tired of them) on the priorities or the background of the screens to something simpler. Love it and highly recommend.

Very clean and pretty design. Priority ratings. Due dates. Repeats. Very easy slide to delete or move to today buttons. Glitch: when viewing pull down list view, shows number of tasks done from long ago next to list title, they dont seem to clear even if I restart. Still wanting: location push noticiations, calender view, timers, and if I could change the alarm chime. Their little chirp isnt enough to get my attention

Love this. Its very simple to use, but hits everything I need for a to-do list. Its practical. Its also aesthetically appealing.

Ive been using this for 2 years on my iPhone and dont know how Id get things done without it. I cant wait for the update to make my iPhone and iPad sync automatically. I was disappointed when ingot a new iPad and it didnt sync with my iPhone. This app covers everything to keep you organized. One suggestion: when I put in an errand to run and I put the address with it, Id like to be able to tap the address and it roll over to google map to show how to get there.

Simple and powerful. Needs iCloud and iCal support. Without, its 4 instead of 5 star.
